Jerry Kenneth Carter, 75, of Macon, MO, passed away on Friday, March 28, 2025, at the Samaritan Hospital in Macon.
Jerry was born on January 23, 1950, near Bucklin, MO, the son of Kenneth Howard and Mary Alice (Wickizer) Carter. He graduated from New Cambria High School. Jerry was united in marriage to Shelley Porter on March 26, 1971, in New Cambria. He retired from MoDot after thirty years of service. Jerry was a member of the Crossroad's Christian Church and enjoyed cars, road trips, auctions and especially spending time with his grandchildren and watching their events.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Shelley Carter of Macon, one son, Heath Carter and his wife Ruth of Trenton, MO, two grandchildren, Alexandria Carter of Maryville, MO, and Jerod Carter of Trenton, two sisters, Janet Kelley and her husband Charles of Macon, and Martha Thornhill of Blue Springs, MO, and many nieces, nephews and other extended family.
