Lissa Shafer, 55, of Bushnell, Illinois, passed away peacefully at home on March 27, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 15, 1969 in Macomb, IL to Donnie and Cheryl (Walters) Launer. She married her high school sweetheart, Jamie Shafer, on May 13, 1989, in Bushnell, IL.
Surviving is her husband Jamie Shafer of Bushnell, IL; her four children, Megan Shafer (Michael Walley) of Cape Girardeau, MO; Curtis Shafer of Bushnell, IL; Emily (Beau) Huffman of Bushnell, IL; Jessalyn Shafer of Plymouth, IL. Four grandchildren, Lucille Shafer, Karston Fenner, Ezekiel Huffman, and Estella Huffman; two sisters, LeAnna (Tony) Davis of Canton, IL, and Leslie Godfrey of Fiatt, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Lonnie Launer.
After graduating from Bushnell-Prairie City High School in 1987, Lissa pursued higher education at Carl Sandburg College in Galesburg, IL, earning an associate's degree in secretarial science. She held various jobs, including working as a
