Ivan O. Wear Jr., 73, of Quincy, passed away at 2:45 am Thursday, January 23, 2025, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL.Ivan was born December 18, 1951, in Quincy, IL to Ivan O. and Virginia (Mozingo) Wear. On June 1, 1974, Ivan married the love of his life, DaVida L. Starkey, at Quincy Faith Assembly of God Church. Their union was a testament to enduring love and partnership, and DaVida survives him, holding onto the precious memories they created together.Other survivors include his three sons, Ivan O. Wear III, Jacob A. Wear (Chevee Carter), and Ryan M. Wear (Rebecca), all of Quincy; seven grandchildren, Caleb Hoffman, Hayley Hoffman, Isaiah Wear, Noah Wear, Elaina Wear, Cashton Wear, and Chesney Wear; and one nephew, Johnathan Wear. Ivan was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Iva L. Wear.He was a proud graduate of Quincy Senior High School, class of 1969. In his teenage years, Ivan worked at the Quincy Gun Club.
