Lois A. Hemming, 90, of Loraine, Illinois, passed away on Friday, January 24, 2025, at the Good Samaritan Home in Quincy, Illinois. She was born on December 19, 1934, in Lima Township, Illinois, a daughter of Orville and Mary (Andrew) Seals. She married Donald J. Hemming on September 19, 1953, in Meyer, Illinois. He preceded her in death on September 16, 2013.Lois attended Oakridge Grade School and graduated from Unity High School. After graduation, she went to work at Quincy Speaker Company/Motorola. After the death of her father-in-law, Lois became a hard-working farmer who could drive anything except for the combine. Later in life, she professionally cleaned businesses and homes.She loved being a mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a member of the Meyer Community Church and the Loraine Community Church where she was an active prayer chain caller until her late 80s. She was a talented baker and cook and was especially known for her apple, chocolate, and strawberry pie
