Mina H. Geise, age 96, of Quincy, died on Thursday, January 16, 2025. She was born on October 14, 1928, in Quincy, the daughter of Luther E. and Thelma Hulett.Mina was a long-time resident of Quincy, Illinois. She attended Quincy High where she was a cheerleader and graduated Class of 46. After graduation she moved to St Louis where she quickly secured a job with AT&T as a switchboard operator. Not long after moving to St. Louis she met Archie K. Smith, and the couple married July 18, 1953. They pursued a dream to start a business and found that opportunity in Belleville Illinois. Mina was very active in serving her community and was a member of Zonta International, The Junior League and The Chamber of Commerce, just to mention a few. Mina always enjoyed helping others and as a result made many friends.In 1972 Mina's life changed after she was divorced.
